Odd thing, time. Keeps everything from happening at once, which is probably a good thing. Definitely a good thing as far as music goes. But can you take a song and boil it down to one moment? One timeless instant? One "beat"? Maybe. Worth trying, at least, if for no other reason than to see if it can be done.
Artists have to be hackers now days. Postmodernists have to break the law. (If there's not a law against postmodernism, there probably should be just so postmodern artists could flip it off and appropriate it.)
These images were generated by code I wrote, trying to distill movies to more discrete points in time. The DMCA has been broken to wrestle my DVD collection into a more manageable form.
