From malls to marketplaces, the shopping experience is a wash of sights, sounds and smells. The products, which jockey for position, pushing and shoving to get our attention parallel our own pushing and shoving in our quest for the perfect deal. And miraculously, like that one lucky sperm who gets the egg, the consumer and the consumed meet at last, skipping off into the sunset hand-in-hand in the blissful union of capitalism.
