Poems from a Serbian Teenager

July 12, 2007 by David Gordon

by Vitomir Marjanović

We are angels of broken dreams

You are walking on a far way without a goal

In your eyes there is only sorrow

And just emptiness in your hart

With a look of closed eyes

You see yourself all broken from inside

I don’t have air around me

In my heart there is emptiness

Sorrow in my eyes is breaking me

Like I am losing myself

My hands now are tight

With hate against the great pain

Why is everything going down the rock to fall?

Our love dried out, like a river disappeared

We are the angels of broken dreams

Why this nightmare doesn’t stop now

To torture us, WHY??

With my eyes I see only a fog

That is hiding the only the true.

Is this game finally over

Or is it just the ending of first part

Has had our love been sunk

Too deep like the Titanic

Or is it just making a short brake

All around us sorrow is leaving the clues

On face line of tears

Full of pain and misery

We are the angels of broken hearts.

Only like time

When the hands of a clock step into the midnight

Then I hear some bells in the distance

Like screams of a late night

Only like time

I move on

Without you I am like time

I am spinning

I am loosing myself

Only like time

I am changing

From joy to pain

From sorrow to disaster

Only like time

And its rerun

Nothing changes

I am a wandering cloud

No matter if it’s rainy or sunny

Only thunder gives me strenght to move on

Where are you?

Where are you?

Hours are passing by by the speed of light

It has been raining for hours like a waterfall

It doesn’t stop
